RICBENEFITS.COM TERMS OF USE
Last Updated: January 5, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of websites, pages, forms, content, tools, and online services that link to these Terms and are operated by Ric Platform Services, LLC (“Ric,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including ricbenefits.com (collectively, the “Site” or “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1) Who the Services Are For (B2B Distribution, Employer-Sponsored Access)
Ric offers Services that support employer-sponsored insurance or benefit programs and related administration.
The Services are intended for use by:
No Direct-to-Consumer Sales. The Services are not an open marketplace and do not enable an individual to purchase insurance directly from Ric unless that individual is accessing the Services through a Business Customer’s program and eligibility is confirmed.
2) Authority and Eligibility
If you use the Services on behalf of a Business Customer or Producer Partner, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on behalf of that organization.
If you are a Workforce Member, you represent that:
Your access and eligibility may be limited, suspended, or terminated if your relationship with the Business Customer ends, your eligibility changes, or the Business Customer’s program is modified or terminated.
3) Producer Notice; Not an Insurance Company
Ric Platform Services, LLC is an insurance producer and may operate in a managing general agent or managing general underwriter capacity under authority granted by insurance carriers, where permitted.
Ric is not an insurance company. Insurance coverage, when offered, is underwritten and issued by licensed insurance carriers and is governed solely by the applicable policy, certificate, or contract.
Availability of products and services may vary by state. Not all products are available in all jurisdictions.
4) No Offer or Solicitation; Licensing; Surplus Lines
Nothing on the Services is an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy insurance in any jurisdiction where such offer or solicitation would be unlawful.
Where insurance is offered, it is offered only through properly licensed persons and entities, and only where the carrier and product are authorized or otherwise eligible (including, where applicable, surplus lines placements). If surplus lines coverage is involved, it may be placed with a nonadmitted insurer and may not be protected by state guaranty funds. Any required state-specific notices will be provided in the applicable placement and policy documentation.
5) Informational Purposes Only; Policy Controls
The Services may include general information, summaries, educational materials, examples, and tools. These are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal, tax, financial, or other professional advice.
In the event of any conflict between information on the Services and an issued policy, certificate, or contract, the issued policy documents control.
6) Employer-Sponsored Administration and Decisions
Business Customers may determine eligibility, enrollment windows, payroll deductions, and other program administration steps, subject to their contracts and applicable law. Ric is not responsible for Business Customer decisions unless expressly agreed in writing.
7) Parametric Program Disclosures (If Applicable)
If a program includes parametric insurance or parametric benefits:
basis risk may exist (you could have loss without payout, or payout without corresponding loss severity).
The policy (or certificate) controls in all cases.
8) Accounts, Credentials, and Security
Some Services may require an account. You agree to keep credentials confidential, restrict access to authorized users, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized activity.
9) Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe your use creates risk for Ric, our partners, or other users.
10) Submissions and Communications
If you submit information, documents, or messages (“Submissions”), you represent you have the right to provide them and they are accurate to the best of your knowledge.
We may use Submissions to operate, provide, support, improve, and secure the Services, including to evaluate eligibility, facilitate quoting or placement, administer benefits, and support claims or payouts, consistent with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
You consent to receive communications from us electronically (email, portal notices, phone, and text/SMS where applicable). You can opt out of promotional messages as provided in the message. Transactional or service communications may still be sent where permitted by law.
11) Payments and Payouts; Payment Vendors (If Applicable)
Certain programs may allow Business Customers or Workforce Members to pay premiums, fees, or other amounts, or to receive payouts, through the Services.
Ric uses one or more third-party payment processors and payout vendors (“Payment Vendors”) to process payments and distribute payouts. Payment Vendors may collect and process your payment or payout information and may provide Ric with limited information such as confirmation of payment, transaction identifiers, timestamps, and partial account details (for example, last four digits), as permitted by law and contract.
Payment and payout processing is subject to the Payment Vendor’s terms, conditions, and privacy practices. Ric is not responsible for Payment Vendor services, outages, delays, errors, or interruptions.
12) Third-Party Services
The Services may link to or integrate third-party services (for example, hosting, analytics, identity verification, payment processors, payout vendors, or data providers). Ric does not control third-party services and is not responsible for them. Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and privacy practices.
13) Intellectual Property
The Services and all content are owned by Ric or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, revocable right to use the Services only as permitted by these Terms.
14) Disclaimers
THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND TITLE.
Ric does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
Examples, scenarios, projections, summaries, and illustrations are not guarantees of outcomes.
15) Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
16) Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ric and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Services, your Submissions, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
17) Changes
We may modify the Services or these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
18) Governing Law; Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Ric is organized and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in that state, and you consent to jurisdiction and venue there.
